People have been coming to me the last couple of days and randomly asking me, if I have had any updates on any of Holly’s Dogs that I have reported on in the past.
The answer is I do and it is not a happy one unfortunately, a dog by the name of Guy that I had previously written on explaining, that the person who had previously, “fostered” and I used that term loosely because Ms. Deprimo is not a legal rescue and does not have any foster contracts or adoption contracts. Therefore without legal contracts Fosters & Adopters don’t exist.
Which is something I will get into at a later date. Previously Jana had cared for Guy in her home and ended up having a situation where he nipped her. It was enough to leave a mark on Jana and it broke a bit of skin.
Jana still kept him but, started asking Ms. Deprimo for proof of his vetting such a rabies, etc. and Ms. Deprimo started immediately discounting Jana’s incident saying it was her fault calling her stupid basically stating she was overstating what happened.
I have also previously posted a full statement from Jana regarding her whole encounter with Ms. Deprimo and how she quit responding for a time to her pleas for help and Jana on her own started looking into Ms. Deprimo only to find horror stories about what she has done to others in the past.
Holly has a mutual no contact with another victim, that order that she is currently criminally violating every time she posts about the victim and certain dogs (Right Holly 🙃). She has also resorted to posting false info on this person on a page she recently started about them as well ( I bet you thought I didn’t catch that) what is even worse is Holly is doing this to a woman who is on the Spectrum (or Autistic). The fact she has no qualms about abusing those with special needs and taking advantage of them or lying to others about what really went down to look like the victim in the situation as usual. She also currently has a order of protection actively against her from a dog trainer that she harassed and even went so far as to start a fake Facebook page with one of her pictures contacting people she knew trying to ruin her business.
Anyway back to Guy, I received a message recently out of the blue from someone asking questions about Holly and to be honest, at first I thought it was Ms. Deprimo under a fake account, since she has numerous. I soon found out it was indeed a real person.
This person had seen Holly posting asking for help regarding Guy, she previously had a rescue of her own. They agreed to help get Guy into board and train l after talking to Holly they learned he had, had some behavioral issues but, never told about the previous bite incident or that he had previous training.
Now I want to remind people Guy received free training with Jana from a really good and trainer and he was doing wonderful. After Jana begged Holly to leave him with her and she refused he ended up at Holly’s house and god knows where else. I also learned Holly had allegedly been using an ill fitting prong collar on Guy that was too big and was fitted too low.
Anyone knows when a prong collar is used properly it is a tool that is useful. When it is not it can cause harm and further exacerbate behavioral issues. With a prong collar it is to be worn up high not low so it doesn’t damage the voice box and it should not slip. You should not be able to yank it or have to pull hard to make a correction it should simply be a light correction that lets, the dog know they need to stop. I want to also add the prong collar should not fit too tightly either the prongs should not dig into the skin. It should fit snug enough that it’s a light quick correction when done and does not cause harm or hurt the dog in anyway.
Allegedly Holly had been told that the prong collar had damaged his voice box because, it was fitted wrong, too big and the how she was correcting himwas wrong, by a vet. Guy had a permanent raspy voice. Something she did not bother to fix but, kept using it in the same manner.
The next accusation that is being alleged is that Guy was living in unsanitary conditions with other dogs and primarily in a cage kept in a garage. Ms. Deprimo had him for 30 days when the party that reached out to me said Holly signed him over to them because they were funding his Board and Train with a “REPUTABLE” and she is a reputable trainer. While Guy was in the board and train a family showed interest and started showing up for training sessions when there was 2wks left so Guy had already been there a week.
When they took him home from the board and train the dad got him into the truck and he immediately tried to bite the dad. The trainers had to restrain him in the truck so he couldn’t bite dad or cause an accident. Dad chocked it up to nerves and coming out of board and train and they went home.
Then when they got home he tried to bite the mom immediately.
Then the next day the daughter was walking by and did a growl snap and while there were a few good interactions there were more interactions that were unfortunately with this type of behavior and then he tried to corner the mom and tried to bite the young daughter in the face. The dad then called and said they felt unsafe in their house because Guy was so unpredictable behavior wise the wife and daughter were ready to go to a hotel.
These are also people who had previously own pitbulls and had no other dogs. He was the only dog and only animal in the house. In other words they were not inexperienced owners.
When the rescuer went to pick Guy from the vet’s office he tried to bite her 8yr old daughter in the car on his way to training originally as well. Every single day at the vets he was walked by the rescuers were walking and he tried to bite the 18 yr old daughter, plus 2 vet techs and it was dismissed because Holly misrepresented that he had, had previous training or a previous history.
After he was relinquished by the adopter the rescuers had to meet at the vet’s office to put him back in boarding. When they got to the vet he went after the vet tech and the trainer, the vet, the rescuer, and the adopter all made an informed decision that it was best for Guy to he Humanely Euthanized for behavior because it was unfair eventually he will harm someone seriously and someone will be held legally liable for it. The unpredictable behavior would require essentially for him to be with someone 1:1 who is alpha personality 24/7 and that is just not possible. As he was euthanized he was held and loved by everyone, he had treats, his bed, no one left him to die in a cold sterile room, they surrounded him and let him know he was loved even though they could not save due to no fault of his own but, simply due to someone’s negligence to be honest with others. The parties involved did not do this without a lot of thought of consideration because they simply wanted to kill a dog as Holly is painting them out to be. They consulted professionals who told them that Guy could not be rehabilitated!
Holly you want to talk about blood being on people’s hands, it’s on yours because you neglected to tell the truth, if you had been honest with people about what happened before you took him from Jana and then been about other situations where you have had dogs bite incidents. I have said it once and I will say it again, you should not be pulling dogs when you can not do right by them. This includes providing information that involves others being able to make informed decisions which would aid in giving proper care.
PS. I know you let Daisy sit for 6 mos without providing treatment for her heartworm because you couldn’t afford it, even though you have had numerous fundraisers. Yet, the same people that took Guy and paid for training and boarding again paid fully for Vetranarian Care and treatment. Absolutely disgusting! Without this person Daisy most likely would have suffered a horrible slow death because again of your negligence!
